Ascension Parish Library and Ascension Parish Reentry Coalition partnered to present Ascension Parish Second Chance Hiring. This event will bring more direct hiring opportunities for those needing employment. Second-chance candidates include anyone facing hiring barriers, including individuals with a criminal record.
Attendees will have opportunities to interact and network directly with employers to discuss available positions and application processes. Participating businesses include AutoZone, FedEx, DOTD, Weber Marine, Goodwill Industries of Southeast Louisiana, BASF, Ascension Parish Government, Express Employment Professionals, PMI Energy Services, REV, Brown & Root, Waffle House and more.
Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
