September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month.
Autobots, roll out…to the library! Optimus Prime of Transformers is leading the way in making sure you sign up for a library card. Visit any library location and sign up to take advantage of all that awaits you. Your library card gives you access to books, music, movies, games, and fun ways to learn and explore (like with our Adventure Passes). Get a brand-new card and put your name on a cutout of Bumblebee to decorate our Transformers cityscape. Already have a card? Color a mask to take home or take your picture with a life-sized cutout of your favorite character. Each branch will have a different one, so we challenge you to get a photo with them all. It’s also an opportunity to check out the newly renovated Donaldsonville library and see the Study Commons located at the WAG Center.

Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
