Reptile Rave

Are you roaring to roam with reptiles? Spend the day visiting dinosaurs, as well as live snakes, turtles, and alligators, at our Reptile Rave!
We are celebrating the fascinating world of reptiles with a day full of events:
- 10:00am & 2:00pm: Be transported to the Jurassic era with the Dinosaur Experience with Ranger Martin
- 11:00am - 1:00pm: Grab a bite from Jambalaya Capital Catering

12:00pm: Listen to Lafayette author Gayle Webre as she presents her book, When I Was an Alligator
- 12:00pm: Touch a baby alligator from Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries
- 4:00pm: See snakes, turtles, and a blue-tongued skink from Nature on the Geaux
We will have an archeology room for digging fossils and plastic reptiles out of sand as well as a room for creating playdough reptiles. It will be a roaring good time!
Gayle Webre will be available for book signing after her noon program.

Gonzales
Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
