A Matter of Balance can help people improve their quality of life and remain independent. It is designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. Participants will learn to set realistic goals to increase activity, change their environment to reduce fall risk factors, and increase their strength and balance using simple exercises.
Eight sessions are designed to help adults in their late 50s and older improve their balance and become more confident about managing falls. This series is presented by Our Lady of the Lake Ascension.

Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
