Teen Book Club meets on the second Saturday of every month. Registration required.
Love reading and hanging out? Here’s a novel idea, be a part of Teen Book Club! Each month we read and discuss a new book in a fun and welcoming environment. Teen Book club is limited to teens ages 12–18. Book selections are reserved for pickup at our Galvez location. The book discussion for September will be Drowned City by Don Brown, a nonfiction graphic novel about Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, and Between Two Skies by Joanne O’Sullivan, a fictional novel about Katrina refugees. Refreshments will be provided.
While book selections are chosen for teens, parents may wish to review the content for appropriateness for their young adult.
For more information or to join the club, call (225) 622-3339.
Our Galvez location was built in 1992 under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director. It was expanded & renovated in 2018.
