Do your good “seed” for the day with hands-on learning about plants we grow for food. Registration required.
Let’s listen to a story and learn how a seed grows and turns into food that ends up on our plates. We’re partnering with the Future Farmers of America (FFA) Club from East Ascension High School to celebrate National FFA Week. Students will share age-appropriate information about agriculture and its impact, and we’ll get our hands dirty, planting seeds that you can take home and watch grow!
Call our Gonzales location to register at (225) 647-3955.
Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
