Get ready for fishing season by learning to fly tie at this workshop series. Registration required.
Join local fishing enthusiast Darrell Crawford as he introduces and demonstrates how to tie flies. These workshops are a must for those who want to learn or improve their fly tying skills. For more than 40 years, Crawford has perfected his skills and will demonstrate different fly tying techniques.
Fly Tying I will cover how to tie Popper Flies. A Popper Fly is a classic pattern that’s passed the test of time. The high floating body and soft undulating tail have fooled fish for years and will continue doing so as long as anglers continue attaching them to their lines.
Fly Tying II will cover Sardine Flies. A Sardine Fly is created with a silhouette that imitates other fish with lots of flash for a tail.
Participation in both sessions is recommended but not required.
All needed materials and tools will be provided. Each workshop will last approximately 3 hours. Call (225) 647-3955 to register.
