Bingo Day for adults is happening at the Ascension Parish Library. Come play bingo and win neat prizes.
The long-awaited Bingo Day for adults is happening at the Ascension Parish Library. Playing traditional bingo started in Italy around the year 1530. It was a popular game, amongst the French aristocracy as well. It finally reached England around the 1700’s. America claims to be the birthplace of modern bingo when it was introduced in carnivals in Pennsylvania in the 1920s. The United States was where bingo cards were first patented and mass-produced in the 1930s and 1940s by toy manufacturer Edwin S. Lowe. Come and enjoy playing the world-famous traditional bingo with your friends while winning nifty prizes.
