Build pyramids, dig, and write in hieroglyphs!
Walk like an Egyptian with us and travel to Ancient Egypt where you can learn how to build a pyramid structure out of LEGO bricks and search for artifacts in our archaeological sand dig. Then create a message in hieroglyphs on a papyrus scroll and decorate a treasure box to put it in to take home.

Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
