The Mobile Library delivers the library experience to those unable to reach any of our four locations due to distance, disability, or other limitations. It brings books, movies, and other materials to patrons at local retirement homes, assisted living facilities, local parks, churches, and community centers. It also visits schools, daycares, and community events across the parish.
Want the Mobile Library to visit your event? Fill out the Mobile Library Request form. Our outreach librarian will contact you to discuss services and availability.
Need library materials delivered to your home? Fill out the Homebound Delivery Request form for more information, to register for the service or to recommend a friend or family member for the service. You can also contact Stephanie Mayeux at 225-647-8924 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Homebound delivery is available to our patrons who are unable to leave the house due to medical reasons (e.g., illness, high risk for COVID-19, prescribed bed rest). We can provide delivery of both library items and craft kits via in-person delivery or post mail, depending on the patron’s condition and schedule. If continued homebound delivery is requested due to long-term disability, you may be required to provide a note from your medical provider.
