The sun is setting later, so we have to wait for darkness to see the sights in the sky.
See a detailed landscape of the Moon or get a close-up view of the Orion Nebula or the Beehive Cluster in Cancer! Amateur astronomer Don Weinell, with the Baton Rouge Astronomical Society (BRAS), will have a high-powered telescope set up to help you search the night sky.
Don Weinell is a retired US Air Force reservist and environmental scientist who enjoys amateur astronomy, birding, and history.
