Join Teen Book Club - a dynamic monthly group discussion for teens who love to read and share their thoughts.
Delve deeper into the stories you love in lively discussions with your peers. Explore themes, characters, writing styles, and anything else that interests you. Each month, we'll explore a different genre, selecting books relevant and engaging for teens ages 12-18.
The book discussion for August will be Long Way Down, a multi-award-winning novel in verse by Jason Reynolds, a Library of Congress National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature from 2020-2022. Refreshments will be provided.
Teen Book Club meets on the second Saturday of every month. Registration is required. Call (225) 622-3339 to save yourself (and a friend!) a spot.
While book selections are chosen for teens, parents may wish to review if the content will suit their young adult. Contact our Galvez location for more information.
Our Galvez location was built in 1992 under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director. It was expanded & renovated in 2018.
