Teen Book Club meets on the second Saturday of every month—registration is required.
Check out the monthly book selection and discuss it in a fun and easy-going setting. Teen Book Club meets on the second Saturday of every month and is limited to teens from 12–18. Book selections will be reserved for pickup at our Galvez location, and snacks will be served at the meeting. The selection for February will be The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon, a dual point-of-view novel about life dreams, falling in love, what extraordinary things can happen during just one day and the tenuous future of those who may be deported at any moment. The novel won Yoon the Coretta Scott King Award, which recognizes outstanding books for young adults and children by African American authors and illustrators, and was adapted into a feature film.
While book selections are chosen for teens, parents may wish to review if the content will suit their young adult. For more information, contact our Galvez location.
