Explore the beauty of landscapes through a mixed media approach. Registration required.
In this dynamic art class, use various materials to create a stunning mountain scene. Bekah Duplechin, owner of Art Academy in Prairieville, will begin with a brief introduction to the concept of landscapes, focusing on the portrayal of mountains and natural elements. She will then incorporate paper as a textural element, cutting and tearing various colors and patterns to create the appearance of rugged mountain ridges, valleys, and trees. This collage technique adds visual interest and tactile dimension. Finally, oil pastels will be used to add finer details, highlights, and textures, allowing for bold strokes and shading.
All skill levels are welcome, and all supplies will be provided. Click the button to register or call (225) 647-3955.
