Experience the music of Mariachi Espartanos played by the East Ascension Specialty Band!
Music connects us all. Hear brass and string instruments harmonize to bring the rich, energetic rhythms of traditional Mexican folk music to life at this one-of-a-kind performance. In 2021, East Ascension Band Director Charles J. Lee III made history by launching Louisiana's first-ever high school mariachi band! The Mariachi Espartanos is now a thriving ensemble at EA High School, providing a look into Mexican and Spanish-speaking culture. Come sway to the rhythm that this unique band program brings.
