Examine the night sky with the help of local astronomers!
Look up at the sky and see what’s visible above Gonzales! You might catch a glimpse of Venus or Jupiter, and the moon’s craters are always a showstopper. Amateur astronomer Don Weinell from the Baton Rouge Astronomical Society (BRAS) will guide your stargazing through a high-powered telescope. Library staff and fellow BRAS members will be on hand with other telescopes to help guide your view and answer any questions you may have.
Learn more about BRAS and other regional astronomy and space activities on their website.
