It’s not a bird or a plane, it’s planets, moons, and stars!
This will be the last Sidewalk Astronomy before summer break. Try to spot Venus and Jupiter or observe the moon’s craters in detail. Amateur astronomer Don Weinell from the Baton Rouge Astronomical Society (BRAS) will guide your stargazing through a high-powered telescope. Library staff and fellow BRAS members will be on hand with other telescopes to help guide your view and answer any questions you may have. Learn more about BRAS and other regional astronomy and space activities on their website.
