In this bilingual storytime, we are celebrating body positivity as we read From Head to Toe by Eric Carle, sing songs, move our bodies, and make a butterfly magnet.
At Amigos Time, Spanish and English languages are intertwined. This month, we will celebrate body positivity as we read De la cabeza a los pies/ From Head to Toe by Eric Carle. Through stories, music, and simple movement, learn to name body parts in both languages and feel strong, happy, and confident in your unique and wonderful self. We will wrap up by creating a butterfly magnet, reminding us that our bodies grow, change, and do amazing things, just like butterflies!
En Amigos Time, los idiomas español e inglés se entrelazan. Este mes celebraremos nuestros increíbles cuerpos, de la cabeza a los pies. Leeremos De la cabeza a los pies / From Head to Toe de Eric Carle. A través de cuentos, música y movimiento sencillo, los niños aprenderán a nombrar las partes del cuerpo en ambos idiomas y, al practicar la aceptación y el amor propio, se sentirán fuertes, felices y seguros de sí mismos, tal como son. Cerraremos la actividad creando un imán de mariposa, que nos recordará que nuestros cuerpos crecen, cambian y hacen cosas maravillosas, ¡igual que las mariposas!
Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
