You have a voice! Let us know your favorite books at Ascension Parish Library! Cast your vote for the Louisiana Young Readers’ Choice Awards (LYRC). The State Library of Louisiana established LYRC to find out which books you like best. Multiple titles have been nominated for early elementary through middle school students. Each list includes a variety of books and authors. To vote, read or listen to three or more of the nominated titles for your grade level, visit your local library and let us know the best. Voting boxes will be out now through April 18, 2025.
Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
