Chilly nights give the best visibility of objects in the sky!
Take a cosmic journey at the library to see what appears in the winter sky. Amateur astronomer Don Weinell, with the Baton Rouge Astronomical Society (BRAS), will help you search the night sky with a high-powered telescope. Bundle up to join us and see if you can see Jupiter, Saturn, or even Uranus in the night sky over Gonzales this December.
Library staff and fellow BRAS members will be on hand with various telescopes to help guide your view and answer any questions you may have.
Learn more about BRAS and other regional astronomy and space activities on their website.
