Interested in learning to sew? Learn the basics of using a sewing machine and make your own throw pillow. Registration required.
Dutchtown High School teacher Nicole Stallings will demonstrate basic sewing techniques for adults in this single-session class. This is the perfect opportunity for beginners or those who want to brush up on their skills. Participants will learn how to operate a sewing machine, including threading it, winding a bobbin, sewing basic stitches, and creating a 5/8 seam. The library will provide sewing machines and all supplies. At the end of the class, each participant will have a finished throw pillow to take home.
