Spring into making reading a daily habit!
One of the best ways to reward yourself and your brain is to make reading a daily habit. Sometimes setting an over-ambitious goal (I’m going to run 5 miles a day!) can defeat you before you start. But if you start with small increments (I’ll read a page a day, one recipe, or one game guide), you can build up to longer, tougher goals. Experts recommend at least 15 minutes a day of sustained reading for everyone, at every age.
This month, the library wants to challenge you to make reading a habit. Log in to Beanstack daily to say you read that day, and it will keep track to see if you are on a reading streak! You can still enter minutes, books, or pages, but we want to help you strive to read at least 15 days in April. At the end of the month, one adult and one youth winner will each take home a special library-lover’s prize.
