Transform old book pages by selectively blacking out words to leave behind a poem.
April is National Poetry Month, and we are providing materials for teens to explore and express themselves through blackout poetry. We’ll provide pages from old books and markers. You choose which words to blackout, leaving only the words you want to form a poem. The book pages can also be decorated to enhance the words selected for the poem.
This activity is all about expression, creativity, and having fun! Whether your poem turns out thought-provoking, humorous, or just plain random, it's all part of the artistic process.
