Get Drawn to the Library and let your imagination run wild with a fun drawing workshop for kids.
It’s National Library Week, and we’re celebrating what draws you to the library! From Storytimes and kids being creative to earning a high school diploma, family game nights, gardening, and local adventures, libraries help communities connect and find new interests.
At our 10:00am workshop, draw silly animals straight from your imagination! Artist Chuck Galey will guide students through the creative process of drawing with shapes and lines to create the most bonkers-looking animals imaginable! Children aged 4 and up are welcome and will be expected to sit at least 30 to 45 minutes with paper and a crayon to follow along with him.
Chuck Galey always dreamed of being an artist. In addition to his picture books, he has illustrated more than thirty educational books and book covers for the R. L. Stine Fear Street series and several Beverly Cleary titles. He lives in Jackson, Mississippi, with his wife and son.
