Check out the monthly book selection and discuss it in a fun and welcoming environment. Teen Book Club meets on the second Saturday of every month and is limited to teens from 12 to 18. Book selections will be reserved for pickup at our Galvez location and snacks are served at the meeting. The selection for January is the fantasy The Cruel Prince by Holly Black, a New York Times bestseller, Boston Globe Best Book of 2018, and ALA 2019 Children's Notables List Pick.
The first book in The Folk of the Air trilogy, this fantasy tells the story of Jude and her two sisters who were stolen away to live at the High Court of Faerie when they were children. Now teens, Jude struggles to find her place as a mortal in a faerie realm. When civil war threatens the Courts, Jude will need to risk her life in a dangerous alliance to save her sisters, and Faerie itself.
