Learn to make a scented hand warmer or a sachet using the library’s sewing machines. Space is limited. Registration required.
Learn how to thread a sewing machine, make straight stitches, turn corners, and try out stitches like zigzag and backstitch. We’ll also teach you about different fabric and thread types, and how to use a cutting mat and rotary cutter or scissors. All materials will be provided, including fabric, thread, and your choice of stuffing. You can make warmers filled with rice and lavender that you can microwave to keep your hands warm or scented sachets with scented Epsom salts to add to clothing drawers.
