Movie-watching and mask-making—it’s a morning of fun! And we hear our New Orleans Princess, Tiana, is stopping to enjoy the movie as well!
A twist on Grimm’s folk tale, The Frog Prince, the 2009 Disney musical release, The Princess and the Frog, is set in New Orleans. The hardworking waitress Tiana dreams of opening her own restaurant but gets sidetracked by kissing Prince Naveen, who had been enchanted and turned into a frog by the evil voodoo witch doctor, Facilier. Instead of breaking the curse, Tiana is also turned into a frog, and she and Naveen struggle to turn human again before it is too late!
We’ll also have movie snacks. See you there!

Ver una película y hacer máscaras, ¡una mañana de diversión el sábado 22 de marzo! Salta a la biblioteca en Donaldsonville a las 10:00am y haz una máscara de Mardi Gras mientras ves La Princesa y el Sapo. También tendremos bocadillos de película, ¡y escuchamos que nuestra Princesa de Nueva Orleans, Tiana, nos visitará después de la película!
Un giro al cuento popular de los Hermanos Grimm, El Príncipe Sapo, el musical de Disney de 2009 La Princesa y el Sapo está ambientado en Nueva Orleans. La trabajadora mesera Tiana sueña con abrir su propio restaurante, pero se distrae al besar al Príncipe Naveen, quien había sido encantado y transformado en sapo por el malvado brujo vudú Facilier. En lugar de romper la maldición, Tiana también se convierte en sapo, y ella y Naveen luchan por volverse humanos nuevamente antes de que sea demasiado tarde.
