This isn’t just a drum show; it’s an experience! Attendees will play a drum or hand-held percussive instrument while sitting in concentric circles (where room allows). One hundred instruments will be provided for attendees to use, while others in the audience can use their hands for clapping or knees for slapping. Everyone will enjoy a rocking, fun time!
Drum Life, featuring Johannes Quilitz, has led interactive drum circles at libraries, schools, festivals, and other venues for over 15 years.
This program is designed for ages six and up, but all may attend.

Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
