Interested in learning to sew? Learn how and make your own apron. Registration required.
Dutchtown High School teacher Nicole Stallings will demonstrate basic sewing techniques for adults in this single-session class. This is the perfect opportunity for beginners or those who want to brush up on their skills. Participants will learn how to operate a sewing machine, including how to thread a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, sew basic stitches, and make a 5/8 seam. The library will provide sewing machines and all supplies. At the end of the class, each participant will have a finished apron to take home.
Space is limited. Registration opens two weeks before the event.
