Don’t miss this online conversation with acclaimed novelist Amanda Peters as she discusses her bestselling novel, "The Berry Pickers", and her most recent book, "Waiting for the Long Night Moon".
The Berry Pickers is a riveting exploration of family, grief, and the bonds they share. This novel, influenced by Peters’ own Mi’kmaq heritage, is an intimate portrait of race, love, and loneliness – and the power of forgiveness. We will also hear about her short story collection, Waiting for the Long Night Moon, which also draws from her own background and describes the Indigenous experience by melding traditional storytelling and spare prose.
