Create circles of color like abstract artist Kandinsky.
Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky was a trailblazer in the field of abstract art. He believed that color, shape, form, music, art, and soul were all interconnected. Kandinsky was at the forefront of teaching and leading artists into a new way of painting. Bright colors and circles are standards of Kandinsky’s paintings, and he was often inspired by what he felt the colors sounded like to him. The ability to experience more than one sense simultaneously is called synesthesia, and many synesthetes participate in creative fields. Famous synesthetes include Vincent Van Gogh, Nikola Tesla, Duke Ellington, Pharrell Williams, and Billie Eilish (to name just a few).
Using circles of color, you’ll create the foliage of a tree (with felt) or use watercolor to make apples.
